Referral process

Your dentist here at Parrock Dental & implant Centres may decide that you need Endodontic care and offer to refer you to Ashok Reddy our in house Endodontist. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry which is concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases which affect the tissues inside of a tooth.

Every effort will be made to offer you the soonest available appointment with Ash. In the meantime your dentist will attempt to make the tooth comfortable until you can be seen by Ash. It is important that you confirm this appointment with the reception. If you cannot attend, or need to change your appointment, please notify the reception as soon as possible. You may be charged if you do not attend or if you give insufficient notice without a reasonable explanation

Appointments

The first appointment maybe a consultation which will last approximately 30 minutes if your dentist is unsure of the diagnosis and prognosis of the tooth. The consultation is important to confirm the diagnosis and prognosis, to ensure that you are informed of the options available with respective to the pros, cons, costs and likely long term success of the treatment. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during a consultation appointment.

If you decide to proceed with Endodontic treatment, further appointments will be arranged with the practice. Ash completes most cases within 1-2 treatment appointments, each approximately 1-2 hours in duration. Ash aims to make treatment as comfortable as possible. Ash carries out treatment under local anesthetic. It is important that you continue to attend your own dentist for general dental care.

Fees and payment

Ash provides care on a private basis only. Payment is made to the practice prior to the appointment.
The following is a fee guide:

• Consultation £80
• Root canal treatment from £350
• Root canal retreatment from £530
• Core filling £60

Primary treatments:
• Centrals treatment from £350
• Premolars treatment from £450
• Molars treatment from £560

Re-root treatments:
• Centrals treatment from £530
• Premolars treatment from £600
• Molars treatment from £650

Additional fees may be applicable in complex cases. Treatment fees are quoted by your dentist or by Ash after a consultation appointment.

Meet the Dentist

After qualifying from Liverpool University I have embarked on a path of continued
development in the fields of root canal treatment (Endodontics). Since qualifying in
2005 I have always stayed up to date with the latest technological advances in the field
of Endodontics.

After a period of 4 years in general practice, I entered onto a full-time MSc training
programme at Manchester University to complete a thesis on cone beam radiography
in Endodontics (3-dimensional scanning of the tooth). Using the most up to date technology
allows me to gain better results in the field of Endodontics. Working as a referral
Endodontist across the country allows me to accept advanced root canal treatments from
many other practices as well as treating all root treatments in house.
