Want to Wave Goodbye to Your Dentures? Ask Us about All-on-4 Dental Implants in Kent

Are you fed up with loose dentures, but think you can’t afford dental implants? Think again, and make an appointment to ask us about All-on-4 dental implants in Kent. Conventional implant systems often require multiple implants to replace a complete arch of teeth, and this can put the treatment out of the reach of many people, but Parrock Dental and Implant Centre is able to offer its patients this innovative treatment that uses just for implants to stabilise a lower denture.

If you’ve ever been told you’re unsuitable for dental implants due to a lack of good quality bone, then you may also want to ask about this treatment, as it is specially designed to make maximum use of the bone towards the front of your mouth. This is the area where the bone is often at its thickest, so it could be that you can have dental implants without requiring a bone graft prior to treatment.

How Does It Work?

Dr Rik Trivedi will need to give you a full assessment to see if this treatment could help you. If you decide to go ahead then you’ll need dental x-rays and a CT scan to enable treatment to be accurately planned. This system has been designed by a Portuguese dentist in conjunction with one of the largest implant companies in the world who are called Nobel Biocare, and uses their software to accurately plan the implant placement.

The reason this system is so effective is because the implants are angled in a slightly different way to normal. Although the two implants right at the front of the mouth are at a normal 90° angle, the two implants either side are angled backwards at a 45° angle. Tilting them allows longer implants to be used which helps increase their stability. Once your prosthesis is in place then all four implants will be locked together, increasing the strength and stability of the system.

The choice of final restoration is largely down to you. You can choose to have a full arch bridge that will be permanently fixed in position, or you can choose to have a bar placed over your implants that is then used to support a denture. The denture will clip tightly onto the bar so it cannot move around, but you’ll still need to remove it every night for cleaning.
