Are dental implants a good option?

Mar 28, 2013 | Treatments

We often see patients here at Parrock Dental and Implant Centre who are unhappy with their smiles because some of their teeth are missing. Often these patients will lack confidence to talk and smile in public and they may find it difficult to chew properly.

Dental implants are an excellent solution that has helped many patients like these to regain their quality of life. If you are interested to come in and have a chat with us about dental implant, this is what you can expect from the treatment.

Step 1: Initial Dental Implant Consultation

Your first visit will determine your oral health needs and how you want your teeth to look. X-rays will be taken of your mouth, impressions will be taken of your teeth and these will be used to diagnose and carefully plan your treatment.

Step 2: Diagnosis and treatment planning

At this appointment your x-rays and other diagnostic information is discussed and you will be shown a treatment plan with options for you to select. Once you give your approval then treatment can begin. A CT Scan maybe taken if necessary.

Step 3: .Diagnostic preview and surgical template

From all your diagnostic information a surgical template is made for precise placement of the dental implants in your mouth. You will also be shown a preview of the final result.

Step 4: Dental Implant Placement

At this appointment we place your dental Implants and provide you with a temporary restoration.

Step 5: Final Restoration Fit

After the dental implants have healed (usually between 3 to 6 months after placement) the final implant supported restorations (crowns, bridges or dentures) are fitted and tweaked to your satisfaction

Step 6: Review and celebration

At this appointment we make sure that you are still happy with your new smile and celebrate your new confidence and quality of life.
