The answer to the first question is that Botox in Kent is extremely safe, as Dr Rik Trivedi is very experienced at administering this treatment, and only ever uses the minimum dose necessary to get natural looking results. You will have had a full consultation prior to treatment, to ensure there are no reasons as to why you should not have Botox.

It isn’t suitable for everyone, as very occasionally some people may be allergic to some of the ingredients, or may have had a reaction to another product containing botulinum toxin. It is probably not advisable to think of having Botox if you are pregnant, or are trying to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. It is not known if Botox could have any adverse effects, but it is best not to risk it.

Another commonly asked question is whether or not Botox will completely paralyse the facial muscles, and the answer to this is no. The treatment will reduce the activity of muscles that are causing frown lines or wrinkles, but you will still be able to show emotions on your face. The idea behind Botox is to simply make you look refreshed, not to make it appear as if you have had some sort of work done.

Some people are worried treatment will be painful, but any discomfort is very brief, and the whole process is over within half an hour or less. The needles used to inject the Botox are incredibly fine, but afterwards there may be a little bit of tenderness around the injection sites. This should soon pass, as should any redness.

Once the Botox has been administered, then it can take a few days to notice any difference, and you may notice improvements several weeks after treatment. The results of Botox generally last around four months, but results can vary.

Botox is very widely used throughout the world, and has been extensively tested to make sure it is safe. It is excellent for reducing the appearance of fine lines that have only recently appeared, but if you have more deep-seated lines then your dentist in Kent may suggest using dermal fillers to help plump out the skin. Dermal fillers can be more effective for lines that have been present for some time.
